WASHINGTON, DC (July 6, 2026) – Conn Maciel Carey LLP (“CMC”), a national boutique OSHA/MSHA & Workplace Safety and Labor & Employment law firm, is pleased to announce the addition of two new attorneys in its Washington, DC office – Erin Trotta and Myles Ginyard.
Erin represents clients in a wide range of employment-related matters, with experience handling discrimination, harassment, and failure-to-accommodate claims, as well as disciplinary and adverse action proceedings. She has guided clients through all stages of administrative litigation, including investigation, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and hearing preparation. Her practice also includes advising clients on workplace safety and health compliance, workplace investigations, reasonable accommodation issues, and other sensitive employment matters.
Before joining CMC, Erin served as a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Division, where she worked on complex environmental tort litigation involving toxic exposure and property contamination. She also spent several years with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia as a Paralegal Specialist, supporting all phases of civil litigation involving federal employment laws, administrative law, and tort claims. Most recently, she was an Associate at a law firm in the DMV-area representing clients in employment litigation matters.
Kara M. Maciel, Co-founder and Chair of the firm’s national Labor & Employment Practice, said, “Erin brings meaningful litigation experience early in her career, having worked on complex matters in both the Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney’s Office. She is a thoughtful advocate with strong analytical skills, and we are excited to welcome her to our deep bench of litigators and employment counsel.”
“I’ve spent much of my career navigating the intersection of employment law and administrative processes — from investigations to hearings,” says Erin. “I look forward to applying that foundation to support CMC’s clients and working with such a talented team.”
“Erin has represented clients in challenging workplace matters, including discrimination and disciplinary proceedings,” Kara added. “She brings a practical, solutions-oriented mindset that will serve our clients well.”
Myles’ practice focuses on employment law, workplace safety (OSHA & MSHA), risk management, and litigation, including advising employers on administrative agency proceedings, employee relations matters, workplace investigations, disability and leave accommodations, and litigation strategy, with a strong background in the healthcare industry.
Most recently, Myles served as in-house legal counsel for Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, where he managed multi-million-dollar claims and advised on a broad range of employment, litigation, risk management, and regulatory matters.
Aaron R. Gelb, Co-managing Partner and Midwest OSHA Chair, said, “We are thrilled to add Myles to our Washington, DC team. His ability to manage matters from investigation through resolution enhances our capabilities and reinforces our commitment to delivering excellent client service.”
“Myles’ experience inside a major healthcare system gives him a unique perspective on employer‑side risk, compliance, and labor relations. His experience will immediately benefit our clients,” said Eric J. Conn, Co-founder and Chair of the firm’s national OSHA & Workplace Safety Practice. “We’re thrilled to have him support our clients in both workplace safety and employment law matters out of our DC office.”
Myles said, “I am looking forward to focusing on my passion for labor and employment law, finding creative solutions to complex workplace challenges, gaining exposure to niche areas of practice, and continuing to develop a well-rounded knowledge base and skill set.”
