Beeta B. Lashkari is a Partner in the Washington, DC office of Conn Maciel Carey LLP working in the OSHA & Workplace Safety Practice. She advises and represents clients in a wide range of inspections, investigations, and enforcement actions involving the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB), and state and local regulators.
Beeta also handles all aspects of litigation, from citation contest to hearings before administrative law judges. Through the process, she works with clients to find creative solutions to resolving matters, particularly through settlement.
In particular, Beeta focuses her practice on proactive work. She provides legal and compliance advice to, and manages safety and health audits for, clients regarding OSHA standards and S&H topics, including heat illness prevention, hazard communication, process safety management, electrical classification, combustible dust, lock-out/tag-out, machine guarding, respiratory protection, chemical exposures, and others. Beeta also regularly reviews and revises workplace safety and health programs, policies, and procedures. Additionally, Beeta represents clients individually and through coalitions in all aspects of agency rulemaking, including on the CSB’s accidental release reporting rule, and OSHA’s standards on COVID-19 in healthcare settings, emergency response, and heat illness prevention in outdoor and indoor work settings.
Prior to entering private practice, Beeta was an Attorney-Investigator for the CSB, where she developed comprehensive written analyses of OSHA and EPA regulations for numerous investigation reports, provided legal advice regarding the agency’s statutory authority and jurisdiction, and negotiated safety recommendations with corporations, regulators, and trade associations. Through her tenure, Beeta specialized in OSHA standards, and has written extensively and presented on them.
While at The George Washington University Law School, Beeta served as a legal extern at the EPA’s Office of General Counsel, and as Student Advisory Committee Representative for The Jacob Burns Legal Clinics. In her work with the Vaccine Injury Clinic, she represented clients who suffered adverse reactions to government-mandated vaccinations in actions against the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Beeta graduated magna cum laude and received the honor of Renaissance Scholar from the University of Southern California with a degree in mathematics and environmental science.

Beeta has spent most of her life in California (Northern and Southern) and Connecticut. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, adventuring outdoors, and listening to music.
