Kimberly Richardson is Of Counsel with Conn Maciel Carey LLP, working remotely from Wilmington, Delaware, where she provides counseling and litigation services for the full range of health, safety, and labor and employment matters.
With over 15 years’ experience supporting high hazard and other complex manufacturing operations, Kimberly brings a unique, valuable perspective to our firm. She has advised all levels of leadership in public and private organizations on issues pertaining to operations, strategy, execution, compliance, and risk management.
Prior to joining the firm, Kimberly acted as Senior Corporate Counsel at Amazon Web Services leading a team of health and safety attorneys in the United States and overseas. At DuPont, she managed legal matters related to the health, safety, and security for DuPont’s worldwide operations. In this role, she led counsel on the company’s global crisis response teams, including those for COVID-19 and managed regulatory investigations in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, and South Korea.
In addition, Kimberly has led Federal Government legal teams in the U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC) on matters pertaining to labor, employment, health, and safety involving all USDOC Bureaus including the BIS, ITA NIST, EDA, NOAA, and Census. Kimberly has also handled union-related litigation and collective bargaining negotiations for the United States Postal Service.
As an Adjunct Professor, Kimberly taught an Employment & Health and Safety Law course at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she serves on the Alumni Board. She also teaches at Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law in Philadelphia.
In 2008, The Network Journal honored her as one of the nation’s top 40 Under Forty African-American Achievers, and in 2012, she received the United States Postmaster General’s D.R.I.V.E Award (Delivering Results, Innovation, Value and Efficiency).
