1 pm – 4 pm ET

This virtual program provides employers with collective-bargaining obligations a comprehensive overview of the legal, business, and practical considerations for negotiating, implementing and administering collective bargaining agreements.

Our program is designed for mid-to-senior level organization executives, managers, and key HR professionals with collective-bargaining and/or labor relations responsibilities.

Participants will learn:

    • How to navigate the bargaining process, negotiate in good faith, and preserve the company’s business interests and solid reputation.
    • How to effectively prepare for negotiations (including priority setting, team composition, establishing parameters, drafting proposals, and more).
    • Strategies for productive bargaining and effective communications.
    • Strategies for stakeholder management.
    • Strategies for identifying and responding to union bargaining tactics.
    • How to manage union information requests.
    • How to respond to unfair labor practice allegations related to bargaining.
    • Strategies for strike contingency planning and response.
    • Key aspects of contract implementation and administration such as grievance processing, labor-management relations, and asserting management’s rights.

Through practical guidance and anecdotal examples, participants will leave informed, empowered, and energized about their labor relations and collective bargaining.
