How We Got Here
CMC was founded by lawyers who spent years in large national firms and saw firsthand that the traditional model wasn’t always serving clients well. Too much overhead, too many layers, and not enough flexibility. We wanted something different — a firm that could deliver the same level of sophistication but with a more personal, efficient, and collaborative approach.
So, we built it. By keeping our practices focused on niche areas and our teams lean, we’re able to offer high-quality legal services without the Big Law price tag. Our structure gives us the freedom to be creative, responsive, and cost-effective, and our clients appreciate that. Many have been with us since before the firm even existed, and our growth has come largely through referrals from people who trust the work we do.

One of the reasons we left our positions as partners in Big Law firms was to be able to create a more flexible, client-friendly service model that would enable us to do the full range of work that we love to do.
