While state plans must be at least as effective as federal OSHA, some state plans have regulations unique to their state. Many state plans also have their own penalty policies and procedures that differ from OSHA\u2019s. As such, employers with operations in state-plan states cannot assume that complying with federal OSHA regulations and procedures will suffice.
