Chris has three decades of experience as an attorney and engineer providing comprehensive environmental, hazardous chemical management, and hazmat transportation support to industrial and manufacturing clients in the iron and steel, electric utility, metallic mineral mining, and high technology sectors.<\/p>\n

Chris regularly counsels clients on regulatory compliance, environmental permitting, facility auditing and planning, and environmental and hazardous materials transportation enforcement. He has extensive experience with chemical and product regulation and reporting under federal, state, and European law, including TSCA, EPCRA, California Prop 65, REACH, and RoHS, and regularly advises clients with complex industrial facilities in all aspects of Clean Air Act Risk Management Program compliance and air permitting and compliance reporting. He has provided extensive RCRA compliance assistance, assisted facilities with negotiation and implementation of voluntary remediation activities, and renewal of clients\u2019 Hazardous Waste Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility permits. Chris has assisted with numerous NPDES direct and indirect discharge permit applications and developed Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure and Storm Water Pollution Prevention plans. In addition, Chris has worked extensively with the Department of Transportation\u2019s hazardous materials transportation and DHS chemical security regulations. He also has counseled clients on OSHA 1910 standards applicable to workplace hazardous chemical regulation, including HAZWOPER and Hazard Communication.<\/p>\n

Kathryn M. McMahon<\/strong><\/a>, an occupational safety and health partner with Conn Maciel Carey who handles occupational health and environmental cross-over issues, said, \u201cChris and I have crossed paths professionally over the years, and I have come to deeply respect the work he does for his clients.
